Who we are

Creating Safe and Inclusive Spaces for Youth for 28 years and Counting

Named after the banyan tree, a traditional village gathering spot, Bargad has been a sanctuary for Pakistan’s youth since 1997: a place to engage, express and grow together.

Socially responsible, politically aware, forward looking and gender sensitive youth that respects freedom, equality and rule of law.

Our Mission

  • Engage vulnerable youth and women in all diversity to their full potential through education, mentorship and innovative interventions designed to enhance their overall well-being.
  • To invest in youth-led and youth-centred ideas, to convene key stakeholders in the sector and advocate for systems and policy changes that meet youths’ needs.
  • Engage youth to end violence against women.
