Youth Policy Development and Support

Bargad has played a pivotal role in shaping youth policy development in Pakistan by providing technical assistance to provincial governments of Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashir and Gilgit Baltistan to formulate their provincial youth policies resulting in approval of Punjab Youth Policy in 2012, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Policy in 2016, Sindh Youth Policy in 2018.

Bargad facilitated an inclusive consultative process to ensure diverse perspectives in policymaking engaging with 22,000 individuals, including 782 government, private, and civil society organizations.

Approval of provincial youth policies lead to youth quotas in local government, increased budget allocations, and recognition of youth health rights.
